Boston, MA – (September 30, 2009) – For two years the Kansas City Royals have been users of ScoutAdvisor® DataPro, a powerful web-based tool that utilizes relational technology to analyze and synthesize player information and statistics from multiple public and proprietary sources. Shortly after the 2009 season ended, the Royals’ Front Office went on a different sort of scouting expedition – one for additional player scouting technology. They called ScoutAdvisor Corporation in for meetings and demos. Acknowledging the superiority of their flagship ScoutAdvisor® 4.0 technology over their current scouting system (IBM Professional Reporting Organization Solution – PROS — in place since 2001), the Royals’ made the decision to load the full ScoutAdvisor® application suite into their technology arsenal in time for spring training, 2010.
The ScoutAdvisor® 4.0 application suite is fully customizable and allows GMs, front-office and field staff, instructors and scouts to securely access, input and upload public and propriety scouting and statistical data. The systems are then synchronized with player updates, contracts and other transaction information from Major League Baseball, MLB Advanced Media, the Major League Scouting Bureau and other proprietary STATS providers, all via a secure, centralized system.
“ScoutAdvisor® is the brand name in scouting and analytics for professional sports today,” said Yates Jarvis, VP of Strategy and Creative for ScoutAdvisor Corp. “Dayton Moore and the entire Royals organization are committed to bringing a World Series back to Kansas City. I would consider this just one more good decision to support that commitment.”
