ScoutAdvisor Corporation, producers of the industry-leading ScoutAdvisor 4.0 system, announced today the addition of Beau Brownlee, former Senior Web Developer of DC-based firm, Qorvis Communications.
With developing technology at the forefront of the battle for success this season, a plurality of the league’s teams have turned to ScoutAdvisor Corporation for advantage-forming solutions. As web-based technology continues to dominate new trends in data reporting and analytics, ScoutAdvisor hopes to use Brownlee’s expertise to assist in the development of next-generation web software.
“Security, performance, and visual analytics are continued top priorities for Major League Baseball this year. Investing in powerful web technology allows the teams that work with us to raise the bar for their scouting goals,” said Yates Jarvis, ScoutAdvisor’s Director of User Experience. “Instead of investing their time and energy in pulling out basic statistics from a simple database, we’re enabling our teams to ask more advanced questions that push the limits of how data can be trended, analyzed, and served up.”
Having an extensive background in multiple web languages, Brownlee brings robust web technology experience to ScoutAdvisor, assisting in the company’s goal of providing the best solutions for teams- opposed to finding the best teams for their solution.
“We make sure that we’re not forcing any single technology down their throats,” explained Jarvis. “Months of research went into developing the most appropriate plan for DataPro 2.5.”
Spear-heading future development of the revised DataPro codebase from ScoutAdvisor’s DC office, Brownlee brings his experience working for clients such as Dollar-Thrifty, SUN Microsystems, YMCA, CISCO, and the US Chamber of Commerce. Prior to working at Qorvis, Brownlee was a Senior Developer for Telemetry Labs and lead their development of both M2M technology and GPS network solutions.
