ALEXANDRIA, Va – (September 30, 2011) – ScoutAdvisor has worked with 20 professional baseball teams over the last 11 years, crafting winning, customized analytics solutions for their long list of MLB clients.

“We know what elusive circumstances must all align for a team to make it to the playoffs, or more so to win their division titles and even rarer to get a shot at the World Series,” offered Yates Jarvis, VP of Strategy and Creative for ScoutAdvisor. “A tremendous amount of hard work goes on in each MLB clubhouse and among the devoted staff experts in each front office – and there’s a lot more to be accomplished during the post-season and beyond. We want to say ‘thank you’ for bringing us along for the ride!”

A Note from the ScoutAdvisor Team
ScoutAdvisor’s dedicated team of technology specialists (and baseball fans) wants to wish special congratulations to all the clubs we’ve had the honor to go to bat for this year. We’re especially fortunate to have worked with three of the six MLB teams that clinched their Division Titles. While in the final analysis we know that our systems played only a small part in their success, we’re proud we can watch on, and root for them down the stretch! Congratulations to the Arizona Diamondbacks, Detroit Tigers, and New York Yankees for winning their Division Titles this season.

We also want to extend a BIG thanks to ALL of our MLB clients for their continued patronage! We are as excited as we’ve ever been to step up to the plate with new and updated systems in the off-season. We’re reminded of a quote by the incomparable Hank Aaron, who said; “My motto was to just keep swinging.” At ScoutAdvisor, we’re ‘going yard!’

ALEXANDRIA, Va – (July 8, 2011) – Long known for global leadership in sports data analytics, Major League Baseball clubs have turned their attention towards investment in long term technology infrastructures to support the flood of video content streaming into the parks. Working closely with ScoutAdvisor Corp, baseball’s premier data synthesis firm, teams’ hardware and software strategies are firming up into complex blueprints for handling years of variable bitrates, sources, codecs, and qualities all under one system.

Yates Jarvis, VP Strategy & Creative at ScoutAdvisor pointed out that their current offerings have been in the works for quite a while. “We realized about two years ago that investment in a new platform of video services for these teams wasn’t an option, but a necessity,” stated Jarvis. “With video content streaming in from parks, scouts, and third party providers, we knew we had a great opportunity in focusing on what we do best: seamless aggregation and delivery.”

ScoutAdvisor, primarily recognized for its professional data synthesis platform, released new functionality for its video services earlier this month. “Teams now have access to any video, any time, on any device. The ramp up time is minimal, and the interfaces are custom. We’ve moved away from a one-size-fits-all product and focused on delivering tailored services that compliment prior team investment in technology, instead of deprecating it,” noted Jarvis.

The video services have been developed for a number of teams and tout technology that maximizes the quality of streaming for traveling scouts on mobile devices such as Android or Apple iOS tablets and phones.

ALEXANDRIA, Va – (December 3, 2010) – The Detroit Tigers, Oakland Athletics and Atlanta Braves have all renewed multi-year contracts with ScoutAdvisor Corporation ahead of the upcoming Winter Meetings in Orlando, FL. Each club has upgraded to the industry standard, online/offline ScoutAdvisor® 4.0 system to take advantage of the many enhanced features and improved replication speeds.

“Upgrading to the newest system will make for a much more complete and efficient process when researching and reporting on pro, amateur and international players. In addition to synthesizing retrospective player analysis, ScoutAdvisor® allows scouts to instantly map to the scheduled playing field and view predicted weather conditions at game time without ever leaving the scouting system,” said Yates Jarvis, VP of ScoutAdvisor. “These new tools afford scouts the latitude they need when traveling around the country or even abroad. We’ve focused on creating an increasingly flexible technology platform that promotes innovation at lower costs.”

“We’re partnering with these front offices to roll out dozens of custom feature enhancements that come from the brightest minds in baseball. We rely on our ten plus years working with pro teams when building out solutions that have the right fit- not just phenomenal technology products, but solutions that resonate. ScoutAdvisor® 4.0 is in a class by itself as far integrated scouting and analytical systems are concerned,” said Michael Morizio, CEO, ScoutAdvisor Corporation.

Boston, MA – (August 30, 2010) – Alongside the release of its newest scouting analytics offering, ScoutAdvisor® DataPro 2.6®, ScoutAdvisor Corp. has been steadily building its DC-based operations with the hiring of Ed Waud and Kyle Lilly. Yates Jarvis, VP Strategy & Creative, detailed that enhancements to wireless data availability and bandwidth increases to handle high-definition video were principle motivators for their growth.

Jarvis explained that ScoutAdvisor’s capacity to “serve sliced-up scouting data and statistical analysis” has positively increased with “the advancements in the country’s innovations in data accessibility and bandwidth maximums.”

“We’re excited to welcome Ed and Kyle aboard. Our focus in recent months has been on top notch recruiting, and we dedicate the time it takes to find the best possible people to join our highly trained team. In the second half of 2010, you’ll see us building out another new product and continuing to add staff in DC,” said CEO Michael Morizio.

Waud and Lilly will help to serve ScoutAdvisor’s existing MLB client-base, focusing on additional product development and engineering consulting services. Waud has held a number of Sr. Project Management positions after graduating from Wake Forest University (NC); Lilly has held software engineering positions in the greater DC area since achieving his engineering degree from Virginia Tech (VA).

Boston, MA – (August 26, 2010) – ScoutAdvisor officially opened its DC-based operations In June. With five of ScoutAdvisor’s key engineering and project management staff residing in the greater Washington DC area, the otherwise virtual software team made the decision to take office space in nearby Alexandria, VA (Old Town).

VP Strategy and Creative, Yates Jarvis, who is now located at the DC office, noted that the balance of ScoutAdvisor’s engineering staff remains virtual, with home offices around the country. “We’ve got some of our key forward-thinkers located together in the DC area where daily in-person collaboration is anticipated and ensued as a regular part of the ScoutAdvisor engineering process.” The back office operations remain in the greater Boston area.

ScoutAdvisor Corp. is still seeking to hire additional qualified web developers and database analysts as it continues to expand its ScoutAdvisor® flagship product along with ScoutAdvisor® DataPro and its corresponding Source Funnel Technology® offerings to a broader base of clients.

“We’re thrilled to have opened our first brick-and-mortar ScoutAdvisor business office in the DC area. The think tank we have assembled to work together in that office is second to none. Our clients will see the benefits of this decision as we begin to roll out even more innovative solutions for our professional sports teams in 2010/2011,” said CEO Michael Morizio.

Boston, MA – (April 19, 2010) – Innovation remains at the forefront of seasoned tech firm ScoutAdvisor Corporation’s strategy to surpass its MLB clients’ expectations. With the addition of Kevin Babcock, a nationally respected web technology specialist, ScoutAdvisor recommitted its dedication to front lining hi-tech initiatives inside of baseball scouting and front office decision making. Babcock formerly helped lead the Web Evangelist program at one of the top web component development shops in the country prior to heading up development at I3 on classified tech projects for ITT Corporation (www.itt.com).

“We’re extremely excited to bring a developer onboard with the experience and talent of a guy like Kevin,” said Yates Jarvis, VP Strategy & Creative. “Taking a look at the advances we’ve made with custom technology for MLB teams this year, it just seemed like an easy decision: find the best guy out there working on the web, and get him to work for us.”

After its investment in developing a video offering to leverage its data based Source Funnel Technology®, ScoutAdvisor sprinted into 2010 with record interest in expanding its statistical data feeds and connecting them to scouting feedback and video. As a result of releasing new products that push the forefront of web development for MLB clubs, ScoutAdvisor will be looking to expand its own team even further in 2010.

“In a recessionary year, where most businesses were hunkering down to ride out the storm, ScoutAdvisor invested in its future,” said Michael Morizio, Founder and CEO. “2009 was an awesome year for us as we saw a significant year over year increase in revenue growth and a commensurate growth in the strength and size of our company. We invested in developing proprietary technologies as well as hiring new engineers in preparation for delivering some of the finest analytics and decision support systems we’ve ever built.”

Babcock is actively involved in the web-based software development community, specializing in development process reformation, UI control implementation, and database performance enhancement for enterprise analysis and query capabilities. He joins ScoutAdvisor with a degree from Texas A&M University.

Boston, MA – (January 28, 2010) – Major League Baseball teams are excited as they look ahead to a new season and are expecting to utilize more innovations in the practice of scouting and front-office technologies. In addition to forming a recent relationship with the college stats gurus at CollegeSplits.com, ScoutAdvisor Corporation made many important moves over the last two years that reveal their strategy of staying ahead of the curve.

“Innovation times ten. It can’t happen in our products only, but must permeate our entire business process and our relationships among all stakeholders. We’ve increased hiring, streamlined our support systems, built new products off of the most modern, secure technologies, and reached out to third party companies that can help make player, team, and scout analysis the best it can be,” explained Yates Jarvis, VP Strategy & Creative at ScoutAdvisor. “Specifically with CollegeSplits.com, we wanted to connect the most advanced proprietary college data to the clubs’ main systems. Kent and Jeff are doing it right. By connecting their data with our Source Funnel Technology®, all of our teams will have the option of using the best college stats available.”

CollegeSplits co-founder Jeff Sackmann agrees. “Our goal from Day 1 has been to help teams make intelligent choices by providing cutting-edge data they simply can’t find anywhere else,” said Sackmann. “Teaming up with a trusted service like ScoutAdvisor–with years of experience catering to the precise needs of MLB teams–makes all the sense in the world to us. The ability to fully integrate our data with ScoutAdvisor’s products gives teams the opportunity to better leverage scouting observations and take the next step forward in amateur baseball analysis. We hope this agreement will be a boon to both our current and our future MLB clients.”

With a direct connection into their ScoutAdvisor® 4.0 and DataPro® 2.5 systems, MLB teams will have access to full analysis of college stats interwoven with their own proprietary grading and evaluation data.

Boston, MA – (January 25, 2010) – The leader in Major League Baseball scouting and decision making technology has added a former Microsoft development lead to their team. ScoutAdvisor welcomed Tommy Tashjian last week who joined with eight years of development experience working directly under Bill Gates. Tashjian led Microsoft’s Internal Technology Group, developing software required to run the most integral parts of the Fortune 500 Corporation.

Yates Jarvis, VP Strategy & Creative, suggested that this was the best move the sports tech company could make to “deliver on our commitment to serve clients with constant innovation, driven by open ears and great relationships. This is a new employee for all of our teams.”

In 2009, ScoutAdvisor grew its veteran market share with new multi-year relationships headed up by the Rockies, Royals, and Reds. Backed by its proprietary Source Funnel Technology®, the company’s new mobile, video, and graphing applications have caught the attention of many of the best-run MLB teams.

“Tommy’s hire represents a continuation of our promise to serve our clients with all that we’ve got,” ScoutAdvisor’s CEO Michael Morizio added. “Our cutting-edge technologies require top development talent in order to advance our systems and maintain our competitive lead in this market. Where better to pull from than Microsoft itself?”

In addition to Microsoft, Tashjian has also developed applications for many other organizations including Citizens Bank, Delta Airlines, and Bell South.

Boston, MA – (December 15, 2009) – The Colorado Rockies have signed with ScoutAdvisor Corporation to deploy the complete ScoutAdvisor® suite of applications for the start of the 2010 season. The Rockies have joined the company’s roster of Major League Baseball clients who utilize ScoutAdvisor’s sophisticated scouting and baseball technology solutions.

The Rockies made the decision to procure the flagship ScoutAdvisor® 4.0 scouting system, which is the most prominent scouting system in Major League Baseball used by a plurality of MLB clubs for real-time, secure access and collaboration of player evaluations and other statistical data. The club is also rolling out ScoutAdvisor® DataPro, a powerful web-based tool that utilizes relational technology to analyze and synthesize player information and statistics from multiple public and proprietary sources.

The ScoutAdvisor® 4.0 application suite is fully customizable and allows GMs, front-office staff, field staff, instructors and scouts to securely access, input and upload public and propriety scouting and statistical data, and synchronize their systems with player updates, contracts and other transaction information from Major League Baseball, MLB Advanced Media (MLBAM), the Major League Scouting Bureau (MLSB) and other proprietary STATS providers, all via a secure, centralized system.

“We are privileged to count the Colorado Rockies among our ScoutAdvisor® clients” said Michael Morizio, President and CEO, ScoutAdvisor Corp. “Colorado has made many decisions in 2009 that will advance the club forward in 2010, and we recognize that deploying the full suite of ScoutAdvisor® applications is an important step in advancing the club’s technology prowess.”

Boston, MA – (December 4, 2009) – The Cincinnati Reds have signed a multi-year deal with ScoutAdvisor Corporation, the company that counts the majority of Major League Baseball clubs utilizing its advanced scouting and analytical technology, as clients. The Reds are slated to deploy the “extended” ScoutAdvisor® DataPro system for the 2010 season and beyond.

Cincinnati’s Owner, Bob Castellini, along with GM Walt Jocketty and other front office executives met with the principals of ScoutAdvisor Corp. on Tuesday at The Great American Ball Park where the contract to procure the ScoutAdvisor® DataPro system was signed.

“Utilizing ScoutAdvisor’s Source Funnel Technology®, the Reds will deploy the most state of the art one-stop-shop analytical system to date. Both data and video feeds from a plethora of diverse public and proprietary silos will all be aggregated into one, centralized, searchable location on the web, and will be accessible via laptop or mobile device,” said Yates Jarvis, VP of Strategy and Creative for ScoutAdvisor Corp.

ScoutAdvisor Corp. has invested over 2,500 hours on exacting its proprietary Source Funnel Technology® for its ‘DataPro’ product. The Reds are the benefactors of nearly ten years of evolution in ScoutAdvisor’s system development.

ScoutAdvisor® is a category-killer application for professional sports teams. It is most-often deployed across a wide spectrum of staff, from front offices, to scouting departments, to player development personnel. The company is tailoring its systems for a roll out to the NFL, NHL, NBA, EUFA and MLS in the not-too-distant future.
